Sharpfin Enhancement Pack
The Sharpfin Enhancement Pack has been developed by user gforums.
PLEASE NOTE: the Sharpfin patch ONLY works on v257 series firmware. It DOES NOT WORK on the v265 or v266 series firmwares with which recent Reciva-based radios (esp. from Grace Digital, Avox, Magicbox and recent versions of the DNT IPDIO Tune) are being released. The patch may appear to transfer in some cases, but remains non-functional. Whether this is by design or by accident is not known.
The pack is an addition to the basic Sharpfin features: it fixes the inabilty to view Radio Info with the standard Sharpfin installation on later firmwares. It also provides a 'remote' interface: so the radio can be controlled from a connecting web-browser.
For enthusiasts, it adds an ftp server to the radio. Moreover, the EP also allows you to edit your presets - this means you can add streams to presets which operate independently of the Reciva portal.
The latest Sharpfin Enhancement Pack is an add-on to the Sharpfin project and adds some new features to the web interface from your radio.
Currently, 2.0 is the latest version of the enhancement pack.
You can nstall the EP easily onto your Sharpfinned radio as follows:
-
Open the web interface on your radio
-
Go to "Admin Home" and select "Install Add-on"
-
Enter the following URL:
-
Click on install and watch your radio's display
-
When finished, it will reboot
-
Alternatively. now you can use the same file with the patchserver and install it instead of the sharpfin-base patch on radios with new upgraded firmware !!
-
In this case, also download
http://daten.gforums.de/sharpfin-ep2.install.txt
The add-on enables:
-
a newly designed web interface
-
a remote control for the web interface
-
the ability to manage, store and play presets
-
you can also store radio stations that are not in Reciva's database!
-
support for "external" apps on your usb stick.
An external app is a .cgi file on your usb stick in the following format:
app_CATEGORY_TITLE.cgi
It can contain all supported cgi code and also additional linux apps, that you put on your usb stick.
Simply copy this address into the Install Addon location box - you will be asked to confirm the install.
The radio will reboot after installation.
You can then access the remote using the radio's IP address in a web-browser.
