questions

There is a certain etiquette to posting questions on a forum (such as the old Reciva forum).

Simply saying 'My radio doesn't work. Why?' is pointless.

You need to give some information about your radio make and model, router make and model, at the least.

Also, posting something like 'Radio GaGa doesn't work. Why?' is also useless. Potential responders need more information - have you set the stream as a preset, have you simply found a radio stream via your PC? Generally, you need to give more information such as the broadcasters website and if possible the Stations listen live address, especially if the website is not in the English language. It is unfair to say "Radio GaGa doesn't work" and expect someone to try and find the station to which you're referring. If you're referring to a specific station on the database, then copy the page address for that station from your address bar or at the least quote the Reciva ID. If you're having problems with a podcast, copy the address you're using. In summary, quote as much relevant information as you can.

Additionally, before posting a question on the forum you should be familiar with your radio which usually entails having read your manual, registered your radio with Reciva and have the My Stuff menu options available. You should also have read this wiki site and have also searched on the forum for similar questions. Google searches for your problem will also invariably come back to a thread on the forum so this is a useful tool to also use in the diagnosis of the issue. It is rare that someone comes up with a totally new problem.

If you receive some help by one of the volunteers, then it's useful (and polite) to give some feedback on the outcome or result.
Also, please don't use capitals as this is considered as SHOUTING.

Most problems can be solved but the majority of them relate to the station changing streaming address, format or protocol or an individual's own network.
